We operate in collaboration with the Belfast Hills Partnership to carry out ecological and conservation work in the Belfast Hills and surrounding areas. Previous activities have included tree and hedge planting, wildflower meadow creation & management, invasive species mapping and wildlife surveys…to name a few. Training is provided, so all abilities and backgrounds are welcome. There will also be plenty of opportunities to increase your skills in areas such as GPS surveying, GIS and species identification. Whether you’re a seasoned conservationist or a novice, don’t be shy, get involved!
We aim to meet twice a month on Wednesday afternoons to head out into the hills…don’t worry if you don’t have any transport, we’ll try and arrange lifts! There will also be social gatherings throughout the year to get to know everyone better.
