Welcome to DermSoc!
We are the official Dermatology Society of Queen’s University Belfast. This is a well known society established in multiple Universities throughout the UK and affiliated with the British Associated of Dermatologists. We aim to help undergraduate medical students and postgraduate doctors interested in skin disease learn about dermatology in an enjoyable way. We will endeavour to promote awareness of the importance of dermatology in the medical curriculum and thereby increase exposure during training.
The society also aims to allow those with a keen interest in dermatology to build contacts and learn more about a career in the field in addition to raising money through charitable events and improving public awareness of preventable disease such as melanoma.
Activities to get involved in include participation in lectures on common topics in dermatology, case presentations, journal clubs, elective experiences, fundraising and OSCE practice.
If you are at all interested in a career in dermatology then this is the society for you.
So what are you waiting for? Get in touch! We look forward to hearing from you.
