Become a Part-Time Student Officer

Part-Time Officers represent the views of different groups of students and campaign on issues that are important to them.

Nominations are reopening on 30 January for the positions of:

  • Postgraduate Research Students' Officer
  • Student Carers Officer

Nominate youself by 5pm, 15 Feb.

Every year, Student Officers are elected to represent the 23,000+ students at Queen’s and to lead the Union.

Exceptional Circumstances

If you sit an exam or submit a piece of coursework, you're deeming yourself fit to be assessed. Once you've been marked and you have achieved a pass, your results can't be changed.

If something is affecting your ability to study or complete assessment, you could be eligible for Exceptional Circumstances.

Make sure you speak to someone who can help:

  • Module Co-ordinator, Advisor of Studies or Personal Tutor
  • Exam Invigilator (if you're feeling ill during your exam)
  • Oisín Student Officer Education, Agnes Education & Welfare Advisor, Jessica Student Officer Welfare
