So you’re moving out: Advice on Finding a Student House

This is a short guide designed by the Students’ Union Advice Centre on avoiding the possible pitfalls of living in the private sector. This can be an exciting time and if you follow these general rules, you and your housemates can enjoy your new accommodation.

SU Lets

The Students’ Union runs a letting agency in association with local letting agent Morton Pinpoint. SU Lets provides only quality private sector accommodation from reputable landlords. A high minimum quality standard is set every year by the Students’ Union. SU Lets is the only place that Queen’s University and Queen’s Students’ Union recommends for private sector accommodation. You can visit the SU Lets website at www.sulets.net

Getting Advice

The Housing Rights Service runs a housing advice helpline Monday - Friday, 9:30am - 1:30pm.  Tel: 02890 245640
