We discovered that 56%* of students want more education on Sexual Consent and The Law. We are therefore running Consent Workshops for Queen's students as part of our Consent is BAE campaign.
These workshops will each be facilitated by a trained student and staff member.
We're looking for student volunteers who are interested in becoming Consent Ambassadors and helping us facilitate our Consent Workshops. We want students who:
- are you going in to second year or above?
- have volunteering experience
- are interested in the subject
You will attend 2 days training (4&5 Sept) to fully prepare you and give you an opportunity to air any concerns or worries you might have. Lunch, tea and coffee will also be provided.
You'll only need to facilitate a maximum of 2/3 workshops which will run from 2-9 October in Queen's Accommodation and you'll never be alone as you will be facilitating the workshops with a staff member.
It will give you points towards Queen's Degree Plus, great experience to add to your CV and a chance to meet other students. Plus, the workshops are actually quite fun, allow for a lot of open discussion and lets you be a part of the conversation.
If you're interested, please apply by 5pm, Tuesday 15 August.
If you have any questions about the application process, the campaign or general questions about consent, contact Jessica, Student Officer Welfare at firstname.lastname@example.org or 028 9097 1002.
