Jobs @ the Union
Did you know that your Students' Union is one of the biggest student employers in Belfast? Each year we hire Queen's students on a casual basis to work in every part of the Students' Union. Whether, it's pulling pints in the Speakeasy or setting up for touring band in the Mandela Hall - there's always plenty going on in the Union!
Working at the Union is a great opportunity to gain experience whilst you are studying at University. You will have the chance to pick up a wide range of skills, and work alongside your fellow students in a student-led environment. Your work is also eligible for accreditation under the University's Degree Plus scheme.
What's on offer?
Shop Workers, Bar Workers, Entertainments Crew, Marketing Team, General Assistants & Event Stewards.
The Students' Union is a very flexible place to work, and we will always do our best to help you fit work in around your studies. The Students' Union and the University recommend that no student works more than 16 hours per week.
When do you recruit?
We advertise for new casual workers in April/May of each year. Interviews will then take place before the end of June. Successful applicants will be notified before the end of July, and training usually takes place in the first week of September.
Jobs will be advertised campus-wide, and on this website. Job descriptions and person specifications will be available for download alogn with the corresponding application forms.
We endeavour to respond to all applications, however, due to the large volume of applicants this is not always possible. If you have not received a response before the end of June, then your application has been unsuccessful. We will keep your details on file for a possible second round of recruitment in November.
