Competition details:

20 candidates will be shortlisted from the initial application stage. Details of the shortlisted candidates will be made available via the SU website. Students will then vote for their favourite candidate in an online poll and the final seven contestants will be chosen.
Similar to the BBC series The Apprentice, the seven chosen contestants will embark on a series of tasks which are designed to test your creativity, presentation, leadership, negotiation and interview skills. After each task you will face the boardroom panel where at least one contestant will be ‘fired’.
You’re Hired!
The final boardroom will be hosted by BBC’s The Apprentice contestant Jim Eastwood. This will be a public event held in The Space in the Students’ Union on Wednesday 23rd November 2011. An after party will also take place in the Students’ Union.
At the final boardroom event the final 2 contestants will face Jim Eastwood. Jedi Jim will ‘hire’ one lucky winner to be crowned The QUB Apprentice 2011 and awarded a prestigious 2 week placement with Deloitte as well as £200 vouchers.
The winner of The QUB Apprentice will also be accredited with the Queen’s DegreePlus award in recognition of your extra curricular achievement.

Task 1 - Wednesday 26th October 2011
Task 2 - Wednesday 2nd November 2011

If there are any clashes with timetables, the SU will liaise with your School, however no guarantees can be made that they will accept the absence.
By applying applicants are agreeing to be interviewed, photographed and filmed throughout the duration of the process. Footage of The QUB Apprentice may be broadcast through online media and other media types.
