Belfast Enterprise Academy at Queen's

We are now taking expressions of interest from students who would like to be considered for this programme in October 2011.  It is a dynamic and innovative programme suited to students seeking to enhance their entrepreneurial side and improve their CV.  Students will participate in a residential, meet other entrepreneurs, visit successful businesses around Belfast and Dublin and learn how to be innovative business people. It could be the first step towards your own successful enterprise. Well known business gurus will answer your burning questions and provide some wisdom from their own experience.  You will also have a mentor on hand to help at each stage.

There are only 20 spaces available for Queens University, University of Ulster and Belfast Metropolitan College.

Places are limited so if you would like to express your interest in this programme please email your name, course and student number to Denise Murtagh at enterprisesu@qub.ac.uk

After a very difficult judging process, the winners if the 'What's The Big Idea 2011' competition were selected and invited to an awards lunch where they were presented with their awards from Ormeau Business Park Manager Patricia McNeill. At the event Patricia spoke of the great pleasure it gave her each year coming back, meeting students who set the bar higher and higher with what can be achieved through creativity and hard work.

The event was also attended by David Gibson a lecturer in Entrepreneurship at Queen's together with Denise Murtagh, Enterprise & Development Co-Ordinator and Owen McMeel, Enterprise & Development Intern in Queen's Students Union.
