Hi all!

My name is Joanne O’Neill and as Vice President for Welfare I am responsible for any non-academic concerns you may have.

I can help you with various problems including; accommodation problems, financial difficulties, health and mental health problems, bullying or harassment concerns, bereavement, your general well -being, your safety and your happiness.

I can assist you with issues which might involve supporting you through the University's complaints procedure, or representing you at University disciplinary hearings. I also work closely with the Vice President Education and Student Advice Centre staff to look at issues which affect larger numbers of students.

It is my responsibility to liaise with the Students’ Union Creche and other campus based childcare facilities, representing the interests of Students in these areas.

I hope you get as much out of being a Queen’s student as you possibly can; but no matter what problems you encounter along the way, you don’t have to face them alone! The Students’ Union is here to help and I am always here if you need someone to talk to.
